Back Left - Back to the Guardian

From late January I will be working as Technology Director at the Guardian News & Media, GNM. It's a shame to leave Wavex after 3 years hard work, as the company is really going places after, but the chance to join one of the very few big media companies I want to work for at such an interesting time is too good to miss.

There's much to do. The development team are working tirelessly on the next generation Web platform, which already underpins the home page. The move to a new building in Kings Cross gives a great opportunity to use new technology to properly merge print and online editions, and there is a huge potential to introduce new editorial features and services for Emily and her team.

With big investments in video, communities and new projects like the recent Katine launch, there is a real sense of possible innovation.
